iTunes and your Security Questions
From the big chair, in the corner office.

As a public service to all Apple iTune users.
DO NOT EVER FORGET YOUR ANSWERS TO YOUR SECURITY QUESTIONS.
I recently installed a new hard drive and OS in my laptop a month ago.
Sunday I was attempting to purchase an Album on iTunes. At the point of check-out, iTunes asked me for the answers to two security questions. As the pop up stated, "seems you are making a first purchase on a new computer". Yes I was and yes.... they are that smart. I don't remember yesterday much less 5 years ago. Answers to what? Really?
Three days and 4.5 hours of being on hold and I finally got my security questions reset. There must be one lonely soul stuffed in a small cube somewhere in India that had to make the grand decision to allow this act of mercy and kindness to take place. I doubt the IRS has security this secure.
Rule number one: Make note of your answers and guard them with your life.
Rule number two: Keep your answers simple. One word, no caps. DON'T be cute.
Rule number three: Be sure to have a "rescue" email address in your iTunes profile. This will eliminate the tortuous 4.5 hours of being on hold.
Rule number four: Be happy you have an Android Phone, I am. :)
Rule number five: Do not waste your time on the web, trying to circumvent what will inevitable. You will be tortured resetting your security questions.
Cheers..... Happy Holidays
